I decided to join the "Draw the first one again" contest over at the group. Here's my entry:
And the task is to re-draw the first deviation ever submitted to dA, regardless of it being 3 months or 3 years ago. My first submitted deviation was a commissioned piece which i no longer have, neither the reference so I drew my second ever submitted deviation and it was an eye. I am not hoping to win or anything, I just thought this was a very fun project to join! *you must all think - yeah right, who you lying to, everyone hopes to win*. I really don't. Firstly because I don't think that the improvement is THAT big (it is kinda big but not so substantial) and second, because the subject is so... done to death and I dare say boring i used to love pictures and drawings of eyes, and I used to love drawing eyes but in time one simply gets sick of it. So yeah, whoever sees this drawing in a contest most definitely won't say - OMG, it's an eye
It was a quicky actually, it could have turned out better.. but I'm still pretty satisfied I just started doodling and all of a sudden I was like " there's a drawing on my desk!" And just to avoid any confusion in advance, don't point out that the skin doesn't look realistic or the lightning makes no sense - because there is no skin i simply drew an eye on some sort of an improvised background
thank you i could try and upload a larger version but the quality would probably get a lot lower because the drawing in real life is about this size or even smaller.
